· 2 min read

The February 2024 release of HH Timing brings exciting improvements, many of which were requested by you! Thank you for continuously sharing your feedback and ideas. This release also includes numerous bug fixes for improved stability.

Plugin

This version of HH Timing introduces breaking changes for plugins. We have released new plugins alongside this version, and all plugins require updating.

As always, if you have any questions or issues with the release, please contact us at support@hh-dev.com.

Gap graph

In 2024, one of our goals is to consolidate tools that have grown over time. One such tool is the gap graph. For the past few years, we have maintained both a regular gap graph and a more advanced projected gap graph. We have decided to discontinue the regular gap graph and focus on improving the usability of the projected gap graph.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, you can read the help section on gap graph

Track loops export

Certain protocols, including Alkamel v2, IMSA Timing, and TimeService TeamStream, offer additional list of track loops in addition of the regular sectors and pit loops. To access this functionality, navigate to the DATA/Sessions menu, select your desired session, and then click on the "Copy Track Loops" option.

The loops are then copied to your clipboard.

Those loops can then be used to create additional sectors.

Here is an example: Track loop example

Stint analysis

For user convenience, a legend was integrated into the stint analysis display, providing clear color coding for all cars selected.

New protocol

The Perugia timing protocol was added on this version.

Car off track

One control that become more popular in the last year was the car off track display. We have re-worked the help file to explain all options.

Live crossign order

The ability to show driver categorisation was added to the live crossing order. There is now an option in the ribbon bar:

Show driver categorisation.

A new column showing the driver categorisation (Bronze,Silver,Gold and Platinium) is then added to the scoreboard:

Misc.

The color of the unknown category was changed from black to grey, to avoid issue on all control with black background. This is only useful in series where the car category are not defined.
